As a Christ-centered private university in California, Hope International University is committed to integrating faith, service, and learning. This commitment is reflected in our institutional goals, core values, and statement of belief—guiding every activity, class, and relationship on campus. HIU serves students across Southern California and beyond.

Accreditation

Hope International University is nationally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). HIU was first accredited in 1969, and following its most recent review in 2024, WSCUC reaffirmed the University's accreditation for six years. HIU has also been a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities since 1993.

Hope International University is a private Christian university in Fullerton, California, affiliated with the nondenominational Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, and it was founded on October 9, 1928, as Pacific Bible Seminary.
